Tim Burton (born 1958) is an American movie director, producer and screenwriter. His movies are often a combination of horror, fantasy and a bit of comedy. Burton's movies always have an amazing visual appeal. Many of his films feature the acting or voice acting of Johnny Depp, his good friend, and Helena Bonham Carter, his partner (*but they broke up in 2014). Two of his animated movies, "Corpse Bride" (2006) and "Frankenweenie" (2013) have been nominated for Best Animated Feature Film in the Academy Awards.
